Title: rattle

Hi, i own an 1995 FJ1200 and have a rattle that seems to come from the crank case. I have replaced the cam chain thinking this may be the problem be it's still their.Is there any idea's out there before i pull it down so i might know what to look for. Thanks

HI,

you may want to check the inside of your double wall exhaust headers..... they have been known to split internally and make the most god awful racket...... i have personally heard it and it sounds like the motor is coming apart.

How did you replace the cam chain without pulling the motor down?

Probably by using a replacement with a master link rather than the endless version.

Or he meant the CCT.

Yea, I used a chain with a master link.
