Hey all! I just joined this list a few days ago so I could keep in contact with all my FJ friends. I'm a member on the Yahoo fj forum and have been since 2000 but it seems like that forum has gone down hill in the past few years. I was a fj owner from 1997-2005 and in that time put 50k miles on my fj and lover every bit of it. I now own a 2007 FJR1300. I live in Lake George NY but I am a true Vermonter.

Thanks alot Travis. I had a great ride too. She is a awesome bike. I can't ride her enough. I'm ready for another motorcycle camping trip.
:good2:
Ya I think I'm gonna ride one this week, Woody's has one I can try.
She's gave me the go ahead as long as she's comfy. So any imput on seats/back rest would be helpfull.

Well I have found the Sargent seats to be really good. That's what I have now. I use the Yamaha touring trunk as the backrest. But there are some backrest available without the trunk. Here our a couple good links

I now have some research to do.
There are some good deals on used ones right now. Any to stay away from? Automatic?
Thanks Bob

No I haven't heard of any real problems at all with the FJR's. Alot like the FJ's they are pretty bullet proof.
