Well, after my other thread on adjusting the stock front brake lever, I have gone the blue dot modification.
They bled fine and after a short mid-night test ride, I have the adjustable lever dialed in to my style, #3.
Now it would be great to have the braided lines, but for now I'm using the stock FJ hoses.
Can someone here suggest the correct hoses to fit this combination of parts?
I can't wait to start putting even more miles on the FJ after the short test time I've had up to this point.
The blue in the calipers go well with the 91 paint scheme too!

I'm a fan of Spiegler brake lines. Yea they're a bit pricey but, what the hell, it's only brake lines we're talking about.
On the Spieglers, the ability to rotate the banjo fitting to assure no line twist is a good selling point.
Measure your lines and go here: http://www.spieglerusa.com/cfm/customline.cfm (http://www.spieglerusa.com/cfm/customline.cfm)
Print the order page from the website, fill it out and fax in your order (with measurements), they will fax you back a quote, then call them with your cc ready and you're on your way.
I removed the 3 line set up and oem line splitter on my 2 FJ's and ran a double line from the m/c down to each side. Reuse your double banjo bolt (from your oem splitter) on your m/c.
Get rid of those soft oem rubber lines now! They are way over due for replacement.
Congrats on the upgrade! All the hard work is done. Let us know how you like your new brakes.
Cheers. Pat
Thanks Pat, that's the company I had been looking at, but wasn't sure if I were to order the FJ line kit or go custom.
I like the color choices they offer as well!
During my test runs getting used to the lever feel, I was leaving black marks on the pavement without wheel lockup.
I suspect this is what is considered "control" over the OE FJ brakes? :yahoo:

Whoa! Lean forward and give us some stoppies. I want pics.

I use lines for an FZ1 that are perfect length. As far as companies though, I have found Goodridge lines from the UK to be the best as far as fit and finish. Price is no more than most others. Finding them is a bit tough though.
