Well, here it is...video of the Kane County Gravel ride 6/13/10. Go easy on me, it's my first attempt at making a movie public. Not posted in "FJ Videos", 'cause there's no FJs; not posted in "Dirt Bikes and Dual Sport" in a blatant attempt to maximize viewership. :blum2:
Marsh, feel free to move this if you deem it appropriate.
It's kinda long (286 megs/13 minutes, dial-up probably ain't gonna cut it; it's real choppy on a slow connection); the gravel bits are kinda shaky; you can tell when the battery gets weak because the dirty bits start to get a little choppy; there's some weird, growly audio artifacts related to engine RPM. A helmet cam would solve the shakiness, but there's no place on the camera for an auxiliary video input.
'04 V-Strom 650, Aiptek Hi-Def video camera, RAM mount, Windows 7, Windows Live Movie Maker. The riding area is an abandoned housing development on the outskirts of a fairly large city. They managed to finish a small parking lot, though. Enjoy...or not. Whatever.

Rossi
the camera has a nice picture....maybe a gyroscopically stabilized base would help the shaking?
