Title: AR TVS HUD helmet
Post by: Pat Conlon on December 14, 2025, 03:17:07 PM

I could see this for a navigation aid and not much more....
My Cardo Pack Talk Edge has all the features I need... however sometimes the turn by turn audio navigation can get washed out.
The HUD would be safer than looking down at my iPhone.

The advancements I'm looking forward to is the active noise cancellation on my headset.
That should help a lot.

There seems to be a lot of crap displayed to inhibit your view.
Active noise canceling but would it be too much ?
We have a lot of mobile speed camera cars that park in dubious places, a warning system in the helmets would be appreciated   :good:

On speed cameras I already get an audio alert, my Gen 2 Valentine detector sends an alert via Bluetooth signal to my phone and thus overrides the comm and music function on my Cardo unit...a red light also blinks on the unit but it's  hard to see on a sunny day.
I thought it would be kinda annoying with false alarms but thankfully they are few.

Useless if you ride with the screen up.

I have a Shoe Neotec 2 and the wind noise over 50mph is annoying, I would def like something with noise cancellation. As for screen display, seems like it would be distracting.

I can't imagine riding without earplugs in....  keeps the db reasonable.

I hit the link and read through the article.  What struck me is how they are claiming to improve safety and that contradicts my most fundamental understanding of riding a motorcycle safely (gleaned from Keith Code's Twit of the Wrist...)   You have a $10 bill of attention...  where are you spending it?

Having all these details floating out in space in front of you seems to me a huge distraction from traction.

I think it is the future and we cannot avoid it.  I want to have it at the push of a button and have it gone just as easily...  not sure you it can do that?  Can you turn it off and ride with a clear visor?
