Title: Parts from Europe...
Post by: axiom-r on December 09, 2025, 10:38:42 AM
Hello All -

I am starting to work on a 1989 FJ1200 that is new to me...  I need a replacement for the right side rear side panel - the little trapezoid shaped one under the tail.

Found the exact NOS part in Silky White for sale on E-Bay out of Europe.  The Seller will not ship to the US because of the ridiculous new tariff policies.  I looked it up on E-Bay to discover that I (as the buyer) would owe and additional $80-$200 USD for this $65 dollar part (paid to the shipping company upon receipt).

https://pages.ebay.com/tariffs/ (https://pages.ebay.com/tariffs/)

The Seller having gone through this a few times with US Buyers has simply elected not to sell to the US. Not worth the hassle.  I don't blame them.

I am hoping that one of the overseas members here will help in acquiring the part for me? I need a non US address to ship to.  Of course, I'll pay for everything; the part and all shipping costs to both locations.

Normally, I would just find a piece that is used, but good enough - this bike is so pristine that it deserves an NOS part.

I sent a few DM's out to members overseas but haven't heard back yet and I don't want to miss this part.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Tim

Yup- there are tons of them.  But I would like to have the brand new item in the right color for this bike.  Factory correct piece.  That is significantly harder to find.
