Selling Dad's '85 and '89 FJ's. Neither one ever wrecked, nor ever ridden hard. Both always kept in the garage w/a soft cover over them. Have sat for approximately 14-15 years. The carbs will need to be gone through, new fuel lines installed, oil in forks, brake fluid, tires, oil & filter changes, etc. to get back on the road. Have a box of miscellaneous spare parts, fasteners, screws, grommets etc. that Dad acquired and saved over the years incl a new '85 seat (in wrapper), lower cowling, and 2 piece front fender. The '89 has a new fuel tank as the original developed a bit of rust that could not be restored locally. Will need a new fuel petcock. Title for the '85 is in my name but the bikes were his. The '85 has 26,432 miles on odometer, and the '89 has 8,597 miles on it. Not sure what they are worth but will to listen to any reasonable offer(s). Would prefer to sell together as both bikes have been together since '91. Can email additional pics on request (wasn't able to upload additional pics due to file size - may try to add in comments section). Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I must resist....must, must, must....
Those are lovely bikes!
WOW! :hi:
Thank you Pat Conlon and axiom-r for your kind and gracious comments on the bikes. You both have terrific FJ's as well! Would really like to get the bikes into the right hands vs. trying to hold out for an unreasonable asking price. My Dad would agree on that. As such, would consider trailering bikes to new owner w/in 350-400 mi radius.
Sedona to Albuquerque = 373 miles....aaaaaaaaargh....make it stop! Must resist....
I have 2 FJ's now....whats 2 more? I would love to work on those bikes.
After all....Many people on this forum have 4 motorcycles....
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrgh......
To see one or even both FJ's go out to the Sedona area would be :good2:. Of course I don't know, but I'd almost put money on Dad's bikes being in the top tier of FJ's in NM. You're close by!

That is really not helping, the pictures are making the 2 FJs look even better. I am sure they will find a good home.
Thanks FJmonkey, I tried to take good pics in good light. They are nice

Thank you, Lee!!
I'll give you a call today to chat. Right after I get back from the Tattoo Parlor where I am receiving an "FJ" on my forehead.... :pardon:
Pretty excited to bring this beauty home!

Right on Tim!
Thanks Tim :good:
Tim, if you need a bed and hot meal, I'm 40 minutes from Flagstaff down the I-17.
Might just take you up on that, Pat. Working on the logistics now...

Pat is good people. If you are close you should stop to meet him just to say you did.

Secured a deal on the '85 this afternoon.
Excellent! I'll revise the post title as ***SOLD***
Thank you Pat! Really have appreciated being able to list the bikes on the forum. May hang out for awhile. Keep the rubber side down :good:
