Good morning all, I was wanting to raise the bike ('89) and during searching on here I read that Hyabusa (can't remember the years right off hand) dogbones were a direct bolt on and were 115mm. found some on Ebay and was going to install them but I measured the ones that were on the bike now and it looks like the ones on it now are shorter than the Busa ones. They Busa ones I got are the 115mm and correct hole size but the ones on it currently are 104mm (give or take some) but they are stamped 3CV. My bike does seem low to me but I've never sat on another FJ to know. Any idea what the stock length should be for an '89?
108mm center hole to center hole on my '89
Thanks for measuring them. I guess that post was for a different year or maybe even a FJ1100 and I didn't catch it. Anything is possible in my world.
You can make your own dog bones. Get them exactly the length you want.
if you put it on centre stand and take dogbones off you can measure centre to centre for max practical lift. I made some years ago (1990?) from some flat steel bar but can't remember sizes, but it didn't take long used a mates pillar drill to line holes up
I'll end up making some one weekend. It's not to big a deal to do.
Be sure to clamp both links together when you drill your holes.
Those holes got to be *dead nuts perfect* or you'll fubar those needle bearings in the swinger and relay arm.
Don't ask me how I know....
