Does anyone know if anyone sells these plastic throttle plates or makes a more durable replacement maybe from billet aluminum?
I see a few on eBay but looking for something with more life left in it.
More durable? The first one lasted 30 years...
I've been taking my carbs on and off frequently as I play with different jets and replace intake boot gasket etc so the screw threads in the plastic have stripped on one of the screws and the others are weak, I now add zip ties around it to hold it together. Before I spend $45 for a used one on ebay I figured I'd ask if there were any better options out there. Would be slick if somebody made a quick disconnect version that snapped together and apart similar to how electrical connectors connect/disconnect.
Shit Eric, I never had to remove that plate when pulling the carbs.. I'll see if I can get a 3D model of this guy as well when I go to do the side markers for the 1100..
Will report back soon!
When I pull the carbs I find it easier to leave the cables connected to the carbs and disconnect them at the plastic piece...getting that return cable in there is a pain. I can easily buy one on eBay there are many just didn't know if anyone made a better mouse trap
I've had my own issues with the screws stripping on the main body. Good to see it's not just me that's had bad luck with the connector. I may just cook up one in Aluminum since my bud has a shop. Need me to see if he can make 2 instead of just 1?

I should clarify I mean this as a gift/free and not as hawking of services.
Thanks for the offer, I actually purchased this from a guy that 3D prints them for the Vmax community. It looks identical to the FJ one but I just haven't had time to put it on yet but pretty sure it will be a direct replacement.

How has that 3d printed version been holding up since you got it? I considered 3d printing but I was worried about loss of strength from heat soaking from it being just above the engine.
I haven't used it yet but it feels very strong and the vmax guys have been using them for a while so I think it's prob fine
