Title: Front sprocket
Post by: manden on October 04, 2024, 03:59:43 AM
Hey all.

Im thinking on going +1 on the front sprocket.

Ore what are your recommendations on the subject. Im looking for better touring 150-200kmh.

Thanks

Yowsers!  Where do you "tour" at 120mph?  Even 93 mph will win you a few performance awards.... :sarcastic:

Yes, an 18 tooth countershaft sprocket is nice, your chain will also be happy.

18 on the countershaft sprocket and 38 on the rear wheel sprocket is the perfect combination for the FJ for a mix of touring and sportier riding - and it stops you looking for 6th gear all of the time. :good2:  :good2:

I agree 100% on this comment. I was always looking for 6th. Once I changed the sprockets as above, must better. I have not missed the low end and never look for 6th.
