Title: FJ1100 & FJ1200 Motor
Post by: MarioR on August 17, 2024, 09:59:22 PM
Hi,

Just getting another Fj1100 that has already some mods that I was looking for longer time.
17'' conversion front and back is already done.
How to check without opening if it has 1100 or 1200 motor in it?

Also, bike will have super trap exhaust and unipods carb filters.
I will be redoing and synchronizing carbs, what will be the best set up for the carbs, jets size, etc?

Thanks guys for any info.

This is what I found after doing some research:

Stock pilot fuel jets: 37.5

2 sizes for 4:1 exhaust (Supertrap)

2 jet sizes for individual filters

4 (main sizes) - 1 = 3 or 112.5 + (2.5 * 3) = 120.0
1 (pilot jet size) or 37.5 + (2.5 * 1) = 40.0
160 air jet ????

What do you guys think?

Anyone knows how to set up supertrap plates on the end of the exhaust mufler??

Thank you

The stroke capacity is marked on the front centre of the cylinder.

Missed this one last summer - stick them all in there.   More plates = larger exhaust opening (less of a cork in the exhaust!)
