Hope all is good. I removed my 1200 forks for a dismantle and clean oil was black? With the right fork assembled the top of the spring resides about 3 1/2 inches below the top surface of tube. On the left one the spring is around 2 inches below the top, seem to remember this from previous time but for the life of me cant figure out what I have done wrong this time. All theories and suggestions welcome Thanks Lez.
ok my level of stupidity has been realised the short bumper spring was in the wrong position.
