In the spirit of twood's post last fall, I wanted to offer up a "one last ride" before the snow starts flying. I'm in Waukesha and was considering either Saturday the 21st or Sunday the 22nd. Depending on who wanted to join along (and where they lived) I was thinking either a ride out to La Crosse/Prarie du Chien along the Mississippi (400-500 miles) or a ride around New Glarus, Dodgeville, Sauk City area (300-400 miles). Both rides get to see some beautiful parts of the state. Not sure how the weather will be yet but if its not too cold and rainy I'll likely be riding either way.
I'll wait to see if there's interest before settling on specifics, but I'd likely be leaving earlier in the morning since we'll be losing some daylight by then. I'd offer my place if anyone wanted to stay but I don't have much room for a bike (or bodies) other than my own.
Been scrambling trying to get a bunch of jobs finished before it gets too cold to work outside so I can't get away but the Sauk city area does have some nice riding. I did get about 3k on the clock this summer so now I'm due for valve adjustment and new tires.
Bummer, but I get it. I probably should have thrown this out there earlier, gonna be a little chilly and the first weekend in October was beautiful still. Maybe next year it'll be around then.
I'm up for it if the weather is at least 55 degrees
Looks like you guys will get 60 degrees and sunny!

murat, where about are you? I had some stuff come up and won't be able to do a longer ride this weekend. Also as of right now its looking like low 50s for the high, so might be a little chilly anyway. I think Sunday would be the day I've got available right now.
Whether this one works out or not, I'm thinking of doing one next spring as well. Hopefully get some more people in and have a little better planning on my end.
Hopefully I will have my life sorted out by spring I will be able to do stuff next year. :dash2:
