Title: Quick Questions for the hive mind
Post by: Millietant on June 08, 2023, 03:07:37 PM
Good evening all, just got a couple of quick questions, one of which I'm sure I know the answer to, but I just can't clearly decide whether I actually remember it, or if I just imagined it.

The first one - with the FJ on its side stand, can the clutch cover be removed without oil spilling out all over the floor (for a bit of clutch maintenance, thankfully not my FJ)........ and

The second one - has anyone heard about using FJR 1300 clutch diaphragm springs in a FJ 1200. There's a
parts supplier in the UK who is saying this is a known/common swap, but it's not something I've heard of?

Thanks for whatever feedback you can give, guys and gals.  :good2:

1) Side stand, no need to drain oil, yes...
2) FJR spring compatible, yes....it's much cheaper than the FJ spring.

You read this info. in the Slipping Clutch post we saved in the Clutch Files:
