Today I had some free time and decided to use it stripping and polishing my head pipes, "seemed a shame to cover some nice stainless with black paint". I used elbow greas and sandpaper, no mechanical advantages. Started with 220 then 600 followed by 1000 then 1500 followed by 2000 then 3000. For anyone wanting to do this, I started at
Noon and was done at 4:00. Pretty easy though. Just turned on some tunes and went to work.

Now you just need to use the fine grade sandpaper to take the black paint off the cylinder & head fin edges to really smarten up the engine :sarcastic: :good2:

Not sure I'm going to do the fin edges. I like this look better.

It is indeed. I put about 50 miles on after and now they are a beautiful copper gold color.
