My son was telling me about his crazy ride home through rush hour traffic. Reno has gotten so large 1-80 now has between 4 and five lanes each direction and cars trying to pass on all sides cutting across multiple lanes in each pass.
This afternoon he was in a middle lane following a truck and pretty well boxed in on all sides . He saw a large plastic bin shifting and lifting in the wind. Ian backed off and prepared to dodge the bin when it came out. What he didn't expect was the bin to be full of three inch plastic balls. When the bin hit the road balls went everywhere. He had them bouncing off his fairing and helmet as he dodged his way through the mess . Luckily he came through the other side. I asked him if he thought he could of run over a few and been alright . He told me he didn't want to find out. Good luck and manuevering on his part.
Wow! I thought flying through a bee swarm was bad. Very happy all is well for the two wheel types.
In 1992 a dear friend was killed when a contractor's ladder swept him off his bike.
Travis, I just got back from Paul Lawson's house and yes, I was shocked at the Reno traffic.
I'm glad he is ok.
Best wishes
Kurt
