Title: Valve Clearance adjustment
Post by: krusty on July 24, 2022, 09:54:38 PM
Ok. About two years ago I pulled the top end from one of my 1100s to see why #2 had no compression and I found a broken valve. I have now replaced the damaged valve and one other that was fairly poor. At the time I purchased a valve compression tool, as pictured. I am now thinking this tool will not work as it has only one "prong"(?) and not two as I have seen with others. The mounting holes do not appear to line up either. Is the tool with two "prongs" the only one that will do the job?
:yahoo:

Yes the two prong is the only one that will work. You got a tool from someone who didn't know what they were selling. We see this commonly here. Motion pro sells that tool for cheap for the 1100/1200/1250 but it won't work.
