Title: Formal Introduction
Post by: melloncollie on June 07, 2022, 09:42:29 PM
Hello everyone, just wanted to formally say hi and introduce myself.  I bought my FJ a little over a year ago, put some miles on, did some work to it, and put some more miles on it.  Including a trip last fall (started a thread for the trip, I'll finish it one of these days).  I wouldn't have been able to do the work I did without the wealth of knowledge from the forum, thanks everyone.

Attached is a picture from my ride earlier today.

P.S. name comes from this album, one of my favorites.

Welcome to the light of the campfire, no need to hide in the shadows with us. Looking forward to your trip post.

melloncollie,

Welcome to the campfire!  Pull up a seat, relax, and be among friends.  Where are you at, generally?  You can add a location to your avatar or signature, and the year of your bike.  It helps us help you, at times.

Pix are welcome, as well as your stories.  If you hit a snag, prolly somebody here has also, and they may have some advice for you.

Yesterday I got a great surprise as I was driving past the one gas station in my small town of Campbellsport. And there filling up was an 89 fj. Of course I Had to turn around. And talk to him. Very nice bike. Going to go for a ride through the kettles. With him. Hopefully soon. Would have gone right back home and got the 1350r out and gone riding right then. But my sister is visiting from Colorado this week.

Welcome to the group.
Maybe we can go to the eastcoast fall rally together.

Thanks for the warm welcomes guys, I like campfires.  I'm in southeast Wisconsin outside of Milwaukee, added a little more info in my profile now.  I was out for a longer ride yesterday, stopped at a gas station on my way back home and there was some guy ogling my bike.  Turns out it was Dan.  Looks like about an hour from me to Dan, and hour and a half to make the ride more fun.  A rally sounds fun, I've never been to one.  I've hardly rode with anyone but myself really.

Thanks, Pat. I've never met anyone at  rally yet, that I wouldn't invite into my home.
