I have a 1984 FJ110 and live on Saltspring Island, BC, Canada.
In British Columbia the provincial insurance company offers reduced insurance to cars and motorcycles that are restored to the manufacturers original specifications. The rules are fairly strict; my bike has just been rejected because the exhaust is a Supertrapp, and it is not fitted with the original Yamaha mufflers.
This may be a long shot, but does anyone have an original FJ1100 exhaust that they would be willing to sell?

I aquired an 84 last year that only has 7800 miles on it. I have been debating on whether to restore it. Or resto mod it. I have one of the worst cases of severe. Moditis disease. If it is the stainless system. And it isn't smashed up or anything. I might be convinced to. Trade you. This is the only ding I found. The canisters are probably as good as you'll find. Bad quick picture of the ding.
I have to work 12hr shift tonight. Have to get too sleep now but have off work the next 2nights. Will look again tomorrow morning.
