Was wondering about the plugs covering the pilot jet's on some triple Mikuni's I have, I read somewhere that the fuel enters the jet via the bleed holes in this type of carb. Without the drilling that leads to these holes in our FJ carbs brings me to assume that jets with holes in my FJ is of no consequence? Or does fuel get by the threads and muck things up or maybe the holes mess with the flow of fuel through the jet, Anybody ever try using pilots with bleed holes?

The bleed holes do nothing. The tip is tapered to seal in the throttle body. This makes the only orifice that matters the hole at the end of the tip. The side drilled "bleed" holes don't do anything on these carburetors.
We have used both over the years. Neither one makes a difference on the FJ. Only changing the actual main orifice size does anything.
