Post by: Vilike on July 22, 2021, 02:48:59 PM
Hi guys !

I am starting to work in the plastic welding world from now on. Can anyone tell me for sure the material of the FJ fairings ? I heard that its made from ABS plastic. Anyone to prove it ?

  Thanx !   :good2:

I also hot air weld my FJ plastic and use ABS filler rod. I have also used ABS glue for some repairs. If it is not ABS, then it sure acts like it.

Thanks FJmonkey.

I will first try it on one of my spare broken 1TX fairings. Ill see how ABS melts, i only done PE and PP 'til now.

G'day Vilike,
It is absolutely ABS.
Some of the fairing parts have ABS identifiers, most don't.
