Title: Paint Curing
Post by: woodcreekpete on May 17, 2021, 11:27:11 AM
My wife wasn't too receptive to the idea of using her oven to cure paint so we made up this tin foil covered milk crate. Stuck an oven thermometer in it and last time I checked (12 noon), it was up to 60C - 140F. Couple more hours and it should be good to go.

Nice paintboot . When i painted the fj parts outside  i used a campingtable and covered the sides with plastic to keep dust and flies away until the paint got cured after about 30 minutes.Straight after spraying i placed the table over the piece that is painted.
A wasp once managed to land in the clearcote but that was no problem to sand and buff. Also good to have a pinsett ready if something gets in the paint.
