The following is from an email that was sent to me..
I had an absolute blast at the 2 Vintage Yamaha Rallys that I have attended. There were 9 FJ's in attendance last year..
Annual Vintage Yamaha Rally
Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge – Stecoah, North Carolina
September 23 to 27, 2021
Organizing Committee:
Jeff Halberg – Kurt & Nancy Boehringer
Tony Berry – Paul Kokkelenberg – Michael Antrim
Mike Pittman – Brent Hoovestol – Mark & Alicia Lew – Curtis Estes
Dear Vintage Yamaha Rally Attendee,
Our Vintage Yamaha Rally (VYR) will again be held at the Iron Horse Lodge in Stecoah, North Carolina. This year's event will take place the weekend of September 23rd to 27th. The 2021 event will mark the 20th Annual gathering of Vintage Yamaha motorcycle enthusiasts.
We want to make this event extraordinary to celebrate 20 years of bringing together Vintage Yamahas at this rider's rally! In addition to our regular activities, representatives of Yamaha Motor Manufacturing will also be in attendance this year in recognition of our brand loyalty and to help us celebrate this milestone. We hope you are also planning to attend!
Last year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance was affected. Travel restrictions in place last year prevented many of our regular attendees from the Northeast U.S., Canada, and overseas from attending. Even though many of our regulars were unable to attend, we saw the greatest variety of Vintage Yamaha Motorcycles ever at the 2020 Rally! That trend is certain to continue for the 2021 Rally!
ACCOMMODATIONS:
There are several openings still available at the Iron Horse lodge including: eight(8) private rooms, two(2) semi-private rooms, several RV sites, Conestoga wagons, and a significant quantity of camping sites. We hope to fill these available spots with Vintage Yamaha Rally Attendees! If you have not done so already, please make your reservations promptly. In a future e-mail, we will provide alternate accommodation information.
T-SHIRTS:
The annual t-shirt design is complete, and shirts are available for pre-ordering. Shirts will not be available for sale at the rally. Please order your shirt(s) promptly. See shirt flyer attached
QUESTIONS:
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, please send your questions to VYRShirtOrder@gmail.com. A response will be promptly provided.
Respectfully & Sincerely,
VYR Organizing Committee

I have not decided if I am attending this year. For the Fall and the end of Rally season. I have an East Coast and West Coast Rally schedule. In Odd number years, I attend the RPM Rally and in even number years, I attend the Vintage Yamaha Rally.
With this being the 20th Anniversary of the Vintage Yamaha Rally, I am seriously considering going this year and attending the RPM Rally next year.
Dan, to answer your question. If I attend, I plan on staying at the Ironhorse. Probably a Tent site.
Fred
FYI, the previous weekend in September (ie 9/15 thru 9/19) is the FJ east coast fall rally. This years site is in Tellico Plains, TN which is just 40 miles away over the Cherahola skyway.....
I'm definitely going to the vintage rally this year. Although I will probably stay in tellico. And have to ride those terrible roads to get to the rally.
Got vacation approved. Took enough time off I could go to the fall rally. And then the vintage rally too. Fred what are the best days to go to the vintage rally? Does it wind down Sunday? Wondering why they list Monday for the vintage rally?
Here is the link that gives info on the Rllay. By clicking on the RSVP bubble, you register and once you arrive, there will be a small bag of trinkets and a couple of raffle tickets for prizes at the Saturday night group function.
Last year I got a YAMAHA Polo shirt and a YAMAHA RACING T-shirt.

I will be attending this Rally :yahoo: My plan is to do an Iron Butt Association Saddle Sore 1000 ride to Robbinsville. If I can get the up coming Streetfighter project finished in time, I will trailer all 3 FJ's to the Rally.
Fred

I will be arriving really late on the 23rd and departing the morning of 27th
I just booked my room. I also posted this information on the 2 stroke form I am on, there are a few local guys that will stop by and maybe a few who will stay.
Looking forward to it, thanks for posting.

Attached is the Schedule of Events for the Rally. Not much has changed over the years. However there are important details about check-in and meal selection that new attendees need to take care of when they arrive.
There is one additional small change. We will have a Representative from Yamaha Motorsports USA in attendance this year riding with us on his Vintage Yamaha and enjoying our regularly scheduled activities. The Yamaha Representative will select his personal favorite Vintage Yamaha and Award the Yamaha's Corporate Choice Award during our Saturday Evening Activities.
For anyone that is planning on attending. Please open the following link, scroll down too the Grey RSVP block and click on it.
