I was able to order the Renntec crash bars unpainted. A quick wiped own with de-natured alcohol and they were ready to paint. The Oil Pressure switch gets some protection.

Don't say you've been riding all this time without bars, Fred?
I won't take mine of the side stand if the bars are off.

SimiEd painted his silver as well, looks just as good on the white/silver/red.
