It's all bolt on. Go for it!
The 92 stuff will bolt right up. rear wheel mods require some work, check out the mods section for info.
The 92 forks will go right into the 84 yokes - no need to swap yokes.
Easiest and most proven rear wheel swap is the YZF600 (NOT R6). Search and ye shall find.
New fork springs will help a lot - 1.0kg is the rate most folks go with. If you can afford it the gold valve cartridge emulators are a good upgrade too.
Then will come saving up for a rear shock...then regular meetings with modifiers anonymous...
WELCOME and KOOKALOO!
If you put the late-model forks on, an 87-88 FZR1000 frt wheel (3.5" vs 3") bolts on, and uses all the FJ bits. Then you need blue or gold dot calipers....
The rear wheel is the same for all FJ years.... no advantage to the '92.
The '92 rear wheel will fit just fine. The '92 front wheel will fit, but you'll have to change the fork lowers and use the later brakes as well. However, since you have the '92 forks available they will work with that wheel. You don't need to change the yokes, the '92 forks will slide right into your '84 yokes. You may want to use the springs from the '84 forks (with correct preload spacers) since they were much stiffer than the later model soggy spring rate.
Cheers,
