I thought I would start this thread for the folks who either enjoy or have to do long range planning. It is my understanding (changes/corrections/updates encouraged) the East Coast Fall Rally location this year is back in Tellico Plains at the Mountain View Cabins (I think that's the correct name) on the weekend of September 18th & 19th, as usual some folks will arrive earlier in the week.
Steve, I will be staying at the same cabin that I had in 2019, the stray dog cabin :rofl2: Your dates are correct.
Well at least it's not the Stray Cats cabin, then Brian Setzer would be there with you

Nancy and I are a go....
we sure are making plans to be there :good2: after 17 consecutive years riding the Cherohala & BRP every september , we didn't make it last year. Been too long
Kris and I are booked in a cabin up on the hill. See you guys there Thur. evening.
George
I will make it this year. Andyoutandabout is probably going to show up with me. Going to stay at a cabin through telico vacation rentals. Arrival date not set in stone. 16th or 17th. I'm staying thru the vintage Yamaha rally the next weekend.
... Sheila & Me are making plans to come down Monday 13th & head home Fri 17th :good2:
Maybe Probably the last time I ride my FJ at the Fj Rally

Say it ain't so....unless you're just changing steads. In that case, in the famous words of Jeff Hoffman...."Whatcha got T-Roy?"

That's right Jack... I've basically gone full on scooter trash lately. Hardly ride the FJ anymore
Cabin reservation confirmed for 9-12 to 9-18

Bumped up the cabin rental to the 15th. Staying in the cabin till the 24th. Then going to the vintage rally. Camping by Fred for that one.

Haha no, not that bad. I don't care much for the little scoots, but the Burg650 has got me spoiled I don't really care to ride anything else. I'm sure I'll be bringing it next year and thereafter.
well hell. reservations cancelled :ireful: see you next year @ Boone
TRoy, what's up? You guys not going to make it?
George & Kris
I arrived home last night o'dark thirty. Had a great time. It was good to see familiar faces. I was pleasantly surprised to see a few West Coaster's.

I know of at least 3 that were there! :drinks:
Only one "wet" day, lots of damp days but overall a good riding rally. Great to see everyone again. Thank goodness the west coasters showed up....they doubled the number of actual FJ's...
Who from the west coast attended?
I remember Garth was going to stop in and see Dan, then head down...
I gotta think Mike Ramos was in the mix....

I think it was Andy, Ron, and Mike. I was considering it, but already packed too much "retirement" into my schedule...
Frank
Thanks Frank, that's right, it was Andy, not Garth, that was going to stop by Dan's abode....
Captn Ron has been quiet lately, good to hear he's out and about....
Yah. I brought my 89 for Andy to ride. Mike Ramos rode from California. And Cap'n Ron was already here.
He and I are still here for the vintage Yamaha rally with Fred.

I thought it was Ron Oort...? He's on some epic journey and was passing through according to Mike. Hopefully a good time was had by all...

Just for the record, I was in the neighborhood of the ECR on Wednesday & ran into Andy enjoying a morning snack on the side of the road just up the street from the cabin. I was hoping to ride some local roads with the guys but that didn't happen. I did ride the tail of the dragon and visited the Wheels Through Time motorcycle museum before heading to Barber Motorsports Park. My journey is nearly complete after 7000 miles. I'm a couple days from home here in Williams Arizona.
