Title: Turn signal flasher?
Post by: simi_ed on May 13, 2010, 07:41:13 PM
Anybody ever open up a self-cancelling turn flasher (winker-wanker?)  I'm wondering if there is any active parts inside (transistors, etc)?  I have a thought about how to run LED signals AND keep the self cancelling feature.

Anybody got internal pictures?

Hey Ed, nope, I can't help you, but why do you think you need to cut open the flasher relay?
Why not just go the resistor route and call it a day?
You need 2 resistors to simulate a 25 watt load (to fool the relay) one for the left side flashers, and one for the right side.

Coming to the WCR?   Should I bring a extra sleeping bag for you? <snicker, running for cover>
