I think I have to replace the 2 upper throttle cables.the problem I am having is splitting the housing, one of the 3 screws is beyond tight and I think I stripped it with the screwdriver,i am thinking about drilling it out,,any suggestions?
Drill the small JIS head off, open the box, use your vice grips to bite down and turn the screw shank out.
If the plastic screw threads are knackered, drill it out and thru bolt it with a nut.
If you really screw the pooch you can buy new stuff from RPM. (Scroll down)

Note: Do not remove the small cable box screws without the spark plugs installed.....wanna know why?
thanks pat, that is what I am going to do,,
hey pat, just to be sure, I was talking about the handlebar side
You should be able to get your cordless drill in there, just drill a tiny bit for the head to break off, leaving enough shank to grab.......once the head comes off, the cover comes off, then you can disconnect the cables and bring the box up to your work bench for better access.
No worries either way.....RPM's got you covered.
thanks pat
Ooh , ooh pick me,
I can guess why the plugs should be installed
