Need help, where would the best place be to buy a new windshield for a 1984 FJ1100?
And if anyone has bought a replacement, please share your feedback! Thanks.
Gustaffson has them. Bikescreen.com there are a couple others as well but I can't think of them at the moment
Here is a lknk for windscreens made by Ermax in France. Expect a month to a month and a half for delivery, they are a made to order item. Also, Moto Machines may send you an email verifying that you actually ordered this item, since it is for a 30+ year old bike.

I have ordered Ermax screens from here for my 1990 FJ1200 and 1990 VFR750

You can also get Zero Gravity but they are very sportish, not nearly as tall as stock. I like mine but then I'd rather have my head out in clean air and found the stock to buffet a little too much.
MRA makes a replacement windscreen in a choice of a couple of different shades. IMO the MRA windscreens are about the highest quality replacements that you can get. As with the Ermax, these are a Made to order item and come from Germany. Expect a month to 90 days for delivery.

For a taller option, there is this version from Power Bronze. I have one of these tall Power Bronze screens for my 95 and it is very tall. Works great in colder weather.

You would probably need the paint the lower section

I use the zero gravity on my 84fj also. It was under $ 100.00 and got here quickly. I don't think any of the screens do much to keep you out of the wind on an 84.
I also have a Zero Gravity on my '85. As previously mentioned, a more sporty screen that keeps your helmet in clear air.
Looks way better than standard and at a reasonable price and quality.
Regards, Pete.
I got a screen made for my FJ here. http://www.eaglescreens.com.au/ (http://www.eaglescreens.com.au/)

Tony, which one did you get? I've got their "touring" screen for the FJ (not fitted) Good quality and perfect fit.

I agree Pete, clean air is best, but it does get tiring on a long day and you get wet, but the sound is sweet.
Seems to me screens are all about compromise if weather protection is on the list.

I got the touring screen in a dark tint Noel, looks and fits good.
I have used both the Zero Gravity and Power Bronze screens on my 84. As previously mentioned the ZG screen is lower and sportier ( not short in length, just more swept back)
The bike currently has the PB screen in a dark tint. Its been there for a few years now, and I do get some wind buffering, but I do like the little bit of extra protection.
