Title: Missing spark
Post by: Jepjep on May 09, 2020, 12:11:38 AM
Hello. My -90 fj is missing spark from cylinders 2 and 3. Ignition coil is good. It has constant power in the connector, when turn power on. Other coil connector does not and gives good spark. Could it be CDI-box?

Thanks for responses, and sorry my english....

Check grey wire for continuity to gauge cluster.  Also check for good ground from coils.

Could be, rpm gauge wont work either.

Have you swap connectors with 1 & 4 and then see if 2 & 3 have spark.

At least you'll confirm coil is ok

That is the worst scenario, but possible. I've one dead tacho too. It is pretty unusual for them to die though.
