Title: Clutch Issues
Post by: cayetano25 on March 03, 2009, 09:41:53 PM
Hey guys,

I've got an '84 FJ1100 with a clutch that doesn't seem to want to disengage.  I've rebuilt the slave cylinder.
When I pull in the clutch, I can hear the pushrod move, but it doesn't seem to disengage the transmission.

It's pretty cold up here in Minnesota, so I don't know if the weather would have anything to do with it.  Not that I'm riding now.

I appreciate any suggestions or ideas.

Tom

put the bike in gear (engine off) and rock it back and forth with the clutch in until the clutch plates break free.... sometimes they can stick together......how long has it been since its been ridden?

rebuilt?  are you sure you have the clutch bled properly and completely? what does the lever pull feel like?

KOokaloo!

The weather warmed up and it started to work as it should.  I was a little nervous that another repair was required.
