Title: Hi from Canada
Post by: rhubarbray on May 04, 2010, 10:08:39 AM
Hi all. New member from Ottawa, Canada. I`m also on the UK forum and they`re the ones who recommended I check this site out for a problem my FJ is having. I`ll post that in the help section in a minute.
I bought my `88 FJ in 1999 and have loved it since. I also own a V65 Sabre, a CBR1100XX, an SRX600, and just recently a Ducati ST2.
I`m an AME who likes doing pretty well all my own maintenance and as much of the machining and painting as I can. We`ve got some good roads about an hour west of here and I also like going down to northern New York/Vermont. Lake Placid area is great!
Anyone else in the Ottawa area?

Ray

Welcome Ray,
There are a few of us from Ontario.
Personally, I try to get to Calabogie at least once a season.

Hi Ray I'm in the Ottawa area of course! Anytime you need help on anything just call me LOL  (Actually I believe Ray has helped me out a few times; he's the expert/I'm the noob!!).

Welcome aboard. There's an FJ rally in Boone NC next week; you should ride down with me and meet the boys and girls!

Welcome Ray,

Paul from Napanee, here.  I gotta get up there and ride the roads in the calabogie area! I plan on it this year.  Maybe stay for a weekend.  There are lots of FJ owners in the local area.  I'm aware of 2 in Kingston, 2 in Picton, 1 in Sterling, and a couple in Belleville/Trenton.  I've met 3 of them. I've also heard of a fellow who owns more than one in Carleton Place.
Awesome members here who share their expertise.  I am an amateur mechanic and try to do all my maintenance....I try to make a habit of checking things out here, first, for the tips and experience available.  Sometimes I wonder which I enjoy more, working on them, or riding them.
It must be that 'moditis' affliction I hear about now and then :wacko1:
If your in the area look me up...I'm only 20 min from Kingston...could be 10 mins too..  Lots of rhubarb here too! :drinks:

Paul
