Hello everyone.
I'm Steve, aka Honda919Rider, aka h9r and a few other names.
Been riding for a few twenty fours, looking for a motorcycle for the next several years, and the FJ series is near the top of my list.
I'd like to ask a couple questions, probably heard them before, please take a moment to humor me.
Being 6'4" and "around" 250 pounds, I'm wondering how well the FJ will fit me. I like to do some spiriting riding, and also enjoy 700 mile weekends, but that half century mark in age has given me a new respect for some comfort - I used to ride my old 919 without many issues, it was a hair too small for me, how does the FJ series "fit"?
Power, everything I've read leads me to believe the machine has enough power, heck, I remember all to well when it first came out, it was the top of the heap for a while.
Reliability and durability - any comments?
Any real nagging issues?
Prices - what should I expect to pay/offer for a FJ1100/1200 in RTR condition?
Any real difference between the 11 & 12?
I'll go surf the forum now, and again, any comments or suggestions are appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance

Welcome Steve,
Back in the day, I looked for about a year and a half to find a nice FJ because the ergos were very similar to my VF700F, which I thought was a pretty good fit for me (6'3"/260). After adding the Corbin seat, I think it's close to perfect, though some of our height complain about a lack of leg room, or low bars. Tim C, who is a bit taller, has a set of Buell pegs (which now be made of unobtainium), which allow more room. There are bar riser kits out there, but I can't recall anyone actively making them anymore, unless the UKFJOC has them in their catalog.

you would have to search far and wide to find a bike more reliable and durable than an FJ
