2020 Rally Shirts
Hello everyone, I have looked at the option of going back to our earlier embroidered Polo shirts for this years event. The T-Shirts are good, but can look a bit daggy after a while, plus its a new decade, lets dress this up a bit! The photo shows my good quality polo from 2013, it is still like new. So this is just to get expressions of interest before placing a firm order, as time is running out.
We can get a good quality. breathable Polo like mine pictured with ---
**Same chest logo (1984-1995, FJ1100 - FJ1200)
**Right sleeve with -
"Australian Rally
Dartmouth, Vic,
2020"
** Your name in blue is optional**
Shirts are available in Mens/Ladies, either white/blue, white/red. The blue stitched name can be added like mine for an extra $8.00 per shirt, it does not come standard.
These work out to be $54.55 each incl GST, for pickup from me or delivery to Dartmouth. Its approx $5.00-$9.00 for a postal bag to be sent if needed. I will check with the post office about this.
We did have another Polo done previously with both sleeves done, but this bumped the price to $65.00 each, so we won't take that option. There may be the option as well to have plain sleeves, and just have the chest logo done with some extra words, but this would then look a bit messy.
So, please let me know here if interested. Embroid-Me has let me know there is a small price break for over 25 orders, the above pricing has been based on 15 shirts being ordered. I am not making any money on this, just happy to organise and get them to you to mark the 2020 event. They do require a 50% deposit from me, so I'll gather responses over the next week and we can go from there.
G'day Ray, firstly thanks for effort to get the 2020 Rally Tee Shirts on the go. My question is, as I have previously spoken to to you about, getting the existing 2014 shirts embroidered with the 2020 date and Rally Venue and treat them as a perpetual shirt and have them updated every year, I realise this will not suit everyone but it can keep the costs down and keep the original shirt up to date. Could you please get a cost, including return postage to get the shirts updated
with the currant year and locality details. I would be happy to get a new shirt if necessary but really like the look and style of the 2014 shirt.
Thanks and regards, Pete.
Hello Pete, hope you are well. The main thing is with the new shirts, it benefits quite a few people who were not part of the group back in 2014 and dont have one to start with. I have 8 orders already for the new shirts on the Facebook site. I am getting these done at Embroid-Me at Mt Gravatt in Brisbane. I did think of updating that 2014 shirt to keep costs down, but again not everyone has one.
I was also looking at the t shirts that Danielle has organised the last couple of years, and got halfway through setting up a shop online to take orders etc and have them sent directly to whoever wants one. But I have never done this sort of thing before and its all very confusing. As far as I know Darran and Danielle and Richard and Julie are not attending the rally this year, so I have been passed the batton to try to organise these, and it ain't easy I tell ya, :unknown:
I will ask them tomorrow Pete if that is something they can do, and will let you know. If so, I may have to ask anyone who wants an older shirt updated to deal directly with the store, as Im not really able to timewise to track and manage seperate orders etc. I will look into it though.
The point of my post was aimed at those of us that have the original shirt, please don't think that I am saying that is the only alternative. I commend you for taking on such a big job, we all know haw varied and complicated it is to choose a design that pleases everybody. Good luck mate. I will be keen to either update my original shirt or purchase a new one.
Thanks again. Regards, Pete. :good2:
PS. I do much prefer the polo style shirt over the tee shirt design, makes me look more civilised!
Yep, all good mate. I will ask the embroiders what the go is with updating existing shirts etc, no problems. I was getting a little tired with the standard t shirt style. They are cheaper of course, but they start to look a little daggy after a while, whereas my 2013 polo shirt is still like new.
Hi Ray
I will definitely take Two and maybe Six. Yes, Six.
What I am thinking is to get Two as you described, with Australian Rally, Dartmouth, Vic 2020 on the sleeve and the other four with the chest logo only and getting a local Embroid-Me to embroid the sleeve with the details of the other two rallies I have attended.
If this sounds OK, I shall PM with a firm order.
Here's hoping Dartmouth goes ahead.
Gavin
Have asked Embroid-Me for you Gavin and will let you know.
G'day Ray,
Good to see someone's on the ball, :yahoo:
I'll have Red (of course) in M, (I hope that's the right size, just don't know these days)
Maybe the Dartmouth should be Velcro backing, just in case :dash2:
"Sparky84" on the left and
Alan underneath
Just let us know where the funds need to go :bye:
Cheers
Alan
Ok Team, just to provide some answers to a few questions ( Pete and Gav) about the shirts. I have emailed my local supplier today and they have said ----
"With regards the members that want to have the text added to existing shirts, they would be best going to their local embroiderer ( that handles BYO garments and small orders) to get done individually. We don't offer that service. We are primarily a uniform supplier, decorating garments we provide. " So I think Pete there are 1 or 2 places in Bermi that can do your update to your 2104 polo?
"We can leave the sleeve embroidery off the four polos as required- cost on those would be $39.05 inc GST each" that would be what you wanted Gavin, and they can still do a couple of the normal shirts for you as well of course.
Hope this helps, I tried :sorry:
All good, thanks mate.

Hope you survived the rain shower that came through on Sat
Thank Al. All fixed and ready to go. The rain we had on Saturday was incredible, but not as bad as what the Gold Coast recieved. But, after seeing flames on the tv for weeks and weeks now, it can rain all it wants. Hopefully some came through your way too.
Hello everyone, quick update on our Rally Shirts. I contacted the embroiders today, looks like they will be ready for me to pick up early next week. We will be bringing them to the rally, Gavin and Alf will still post yours
