Title: Mirror or mirror base / perch for 1989
Post by: Ed Ramberger on September 27, 2019, 04:45:25 PM
Hi all,

Looking for a left Yamaha mirror for my 1989.  Also looking for a perch in the meantime.  When I tossed the broken one, I didn;t think about keeping the base for a possible aftermarket mod.

Not sure what year perches fit.  Located in NC, USA.  Thanks all!

You may think about going this route.

The Honda CBR250/600/1000 mirrors are the go to replacement choice for the 1989/1990 FJ's. Specifically the 2013 CBR250R mirrors give the best coverage for your rear view. And aftermarket versions can be had dirt cheap.

You may need to slot the holes in the Honda base a bit like the 2nd photo.

Thanks - I actually ordered actual OE Honda CBR250R mirrors and am waiting for them to come in.  About 31$ each - OE quality at ebay prices.  Used PartsFish.  I just want an OE mirror for the bike as that is all that is missing from it being complete.

The pic above was one of the ones I used in my research.
