Hey Guys,
I was working with the fuel line routing on my '84 FJ1100 and managed to break the "Y" shaped connector that feeds the main line from the petcock to the two banks of the carb rack. It just disintegrated! Anyhow, it's NO LONGER AVAILABLE from Yamaha. Any suggestions?

It isn't exactly the same angle as the stock fitting but we have had no complaints from.

Did it take much effort to break that 35 year old plastic fitting? Just curious.
You may have just done yourself a favor.
Every auto accessory store has a standard selection of mostly plastic and some brass barbed fuel line fittings in several diameters.
T's for vertical or horizontal operation, elbows (L&R), joiners for fuel flow in both directions, splitters, reducers and expanders.
They are usually sold in small handy packs of 2 or 3 and most commonly mounted on a selection board.
Like fuel line itself, this is not something you need to hunt down original parts for.

The fuel line split as well, right where it mates up with the petcock, so the "Y" part broke as I was trying to remove the other end of the hose from it. It broke easy, just disintegrated, so be very careful if you're messing around there. I found some "T" shaped vacuum fittings to replace the Y part but they were plastic and I wasn't sure if over time they would dissolve, filled with gasoline all the time, so when I found the correct part I went for it. As the official Yamaha fuel line is no longer available either, I tried some generic 3/8" I.D. automotive hose but the O.D. was too big and it tended to kink as it is routed in a circle on top of the vacuum diaphragm housing of carb #3. Then on an unrelated trip to an O'Reilly's Auto Parts store I found a little boxed fuel line kit from Prestone (P/N FUO308) that has a small enough O.D. that it routes nicely under the FJ tank. Got it running soon after that.
