Well it's under 60 days away now, fires still burning around Dartmouth, Maybe even red fire retardant will still be present on the roads around.
Does anyone know how much Dartmouth has been affected, I've seen "time to leave" messages on fire incident pages.

Also is there any t-shirts available for the rally and where would I purchase these.

Actually 56 days

Hope everyone's doing OK with these fires and Smoke.

Cheers
Alan

I Can't tell you anything about Dartmouth. But Ray Wise ( XRay) is organising the shirts. We are going up market this year with embroided Polo shirts. I will message ray to put the info up here.

Oops forgot not everyone gets on the Aussie FB page  :sorry:. I'll put this here and also in the "Down Under" section  :good2:

2020 Rally Shirts

Hello everyone, I have looked at the option of going back to our earlier embroidered Polo shirts for this years event. The T-Shirts are good, but can look a bit daggy after a while, plus its a new decade, lets dress this up a bit! The photo shows my good quality polo from 2013, it is still like new. So this is just to get expressions of interest before placing a firm order, as time is running out.

We can get a good quality. breathable Polo like mine pictured with ---

**Same chest logo (1984-1995, FJ1100 - FJ1200)

**Right sleeve with -

"Australian Rally

Dartmouth, Vic,

2020"

** Your name in blue is optional**

Shirts are available in Mens/Ladies, either white/blue, white/red. The blue stitched name can be added like mine for an extra $8.00 per shirt, it does not come standard.

These work out to be $54.55 each incl GST, for pickup from me or delivery to Dartmouth. Its approx $5.00-$9.00 for a postal bag to be sent if needed. I will check with the post office about this.

We did have another Polo done previously with both sleeves done, but this bumped the price to $65.00 each, so we won't take that option. There may be the option as well to have plain sleeves, and just have the chest logo done with some extra words, but this would then look a bit messy.

So, please let me know here if interested. Embroid-Me has let me know there is a small price break for over 25 orders, the above pricing has been based on 15 shirts being ordered. I am not making any money on this, just happy to organise and get them to you to mark the 2020 event. They do require a 50% deposit from me, so I'll gather responses over the next week and we can go from there.

** UPDATE ** Please no changes to what I have listed for the 2020 Rally shirts. I have asked Embroid-Me about updating any existing rally shirts to include the Dartmouth details, and they have said they do not provide that service, only new garments. They advised a local store that handles small orders and BYO garments would be best for that.

Thanks for that Ray, I'll probably order a new shirt. Things are starting to heat up around here as far as the fire front is concerned, so I'll
place an order in the next couple of days.
   Regards, Pete. :good2:

Very Heartbreaking Ray.
I know I've never seen this much fire damage, so widespread.

Dartmouth ( 2020 Rally location) is not currently under threat but all things considered it may well only be a matter of time. If it's threatened I doubt much would be done to save it. It only has a population of about 100, only has one road, that is, the same road in and out and that is 20km through rugged, mountainous, timbered terrain that has little to no surrounding cleared land, sits in a valley and is not of historic significance, being the what was left of the construction camp when the dam was built in the early 70's.
I think the risk would be too great to try and defend it, I reckon they'd just evacuate in plenty of time.

Whether the fire will get there or not, who knows. It wasn't supposed to get lots of places it's already been and it's still depressingly early in the fire season.

This is a photo of the 2014 Rally line up in Jindabyne (the one Randy, Mr Bean and Candyman attended).

This is not Jindabyne, but it's not far away.

Hello Team, following on from my earlier message regarding our 2020 Rally shirts, there has been a great deal of interest. So far 15 orders have been recieved, but only 7 have been pre paid. Please remember I can only order your shirt if payment has been made.

Could everyone look at the enclosed spreadsheet with your orders and if anything is not correct please let me know ASAP. I will be placing the final order with Embroid-Me Wednesday 22nd January.

G'day you lot.
I've been keeping a low profile up until now.
I have been kept busy with work and looking after Lesley so hopefully she can come along to Dartmouth with me.
I have just replaced the front brake lines with S/S braided lines and to tell you the truth, I'm not overly impressed.
I was expecting to be flung over the handlebars but found there was not much difference to the OEM fitted lines I took off.
No doubt they will wear in over time.
Also just about to fit a set of Bridgestone Battlax BT something or others before heading off next Friday.
Ray Wise, you'll be very disappointed with the condition of my bike. I'm hoping there will be a "Dirtiest FJ" award on Saturday night.
I've only got about 4 hours riding time to get to the rally.
Be good till then.
Macca.
