Ok.Thanks.I bought some parts from them before.I'm going to try a used part to see if the problem goes away. They are expensive but may be I have to buy the whole kit for rebuilding the carburetors.I'm going to keep the bike for a long time.
You will need this kit if replacing the choke plungers FJ11-12/XJ12/XJR13 S/S Screw & O-Ring Carburetor Kit (http://www.rpmracingca.com/proddetail.asp?prod=carbkit) The carbs must be broken down individually to change 3 of the 4 of them, the outer one can be changed without pulling them apart. If you plan on keeping the bike and want the carbs gone through and inspected. We break all four carbs down, ultrasonic clean, use the above screw and o-ring kit, inspect, re-assemble, and bench sync for $168. All you have to do when you get them back is set the idle and enjoy the ride. If the carbs need parts, obviously it needs choke plungers. Those are additional costs added to the $168.
Starquest, trust me....$168 for Robert's expertise is the smartest money you will ever spend on your FJ.
You are right guys.Especially now that I broke my achilles tendon. The bike is going to seat down around 5 months,so the carbs needs to taken apart and clean.Robert, when even I can, may be in a few weeks I will send you the carburetors for cleaning and replace some parts.Pat,thanks.I will leave this to the profesionals.
No worries at all. I seem to average 2-5 sets a week. Just shoot over an email and make sure to put your contact information in there with them.
