Hi all,
Maybe a typical tale.. always liked em, alaways wanted one, but over the years always ended up with an FZ or FZR... now that I'm much more grey and just a bit battered, my focus has turned more intently on the venerable FJ. Specifically a 92 model with some very nice mods in my view. I acquired it from an awesome dude 500+ kms up the road from me and I can't wait to throw a leg over and give it a wee thrash.
Here's a pic of the new addition, a few mods are evident...
Welcome, good looking FJ with some nice upgrades. Should bring you miles of smiles.
Welcome aboard. 180/55-17 rear tire? Looks shorter than the 150/80-16. I think I see braided front brake lines too.
Joe
Look at the USD forks and front fender.
With all of these guys with USD forks how are us mear mortals supposed to compete for the girls attention.
Mark
Well, if you don't have USD's, it helps if you can lick your eyebrows..... :pardon:
A beautiful bike Yamafreak. You go by Andy? 91/92 non ABS are my favorites.
Hey there. :hi: Welcome aboard. I'm from the London area originally. Living in Toronto now. Lots of FJ owners in the southern/eastern Ontario region.
Might be down there next w/e for the Fleetwwod Country Cruise In, (if the weather holds out), which I will post for in a few days.
BTW nice bike.
Welcome to the forum :hi:
Great looking FJ and an added bonus is that it came with some tasty mods.

Cheers Paul,
I'd be keen to meet up and go fo a ride with the group, keep us posted!
:hi: nice bike. Welcome to the wonderful world of the mighty FJ :good2:
That's exactly how Yamaha should have built them in '92 :good2:
Looks like a beautiful, well cared for bike Andy - you are indeed a lucky man!
Was the previous owner a member here too (no one has yet mentioned recognising the bike) ??
I'll take credit for this one. Glad you guys like it. All the changes were sourced right here on the forum.
I have no doubt that it's in very good hands. Thanks again Andy - it was a pleasure to meet you and your son.
Now, on to the next and final lump. No color matching here though. VHT satin black caliper paint's going on just about everything except the wheels and forks.y
Please tell me you're going to polish the cyl head fin edges though Pete.......pleeeeaaaasssse :nyam1:
Yea, probably sooner or later - kinda enjoying the Stealth look right now though.

Excellent Smithers :good2:
Here you go Millie. Hindsight says it would have been a lot easier with the motor out of the frame. Turned out okay though.
Nice Pete, verrry nice !!!
Yamafreak, very nice bike. I had one like that in 1992 but it got stolen.
Nice work Pete!
