More FJ shenanigans today. The scoops have been scratched and everytime I see them I think I should fix them. Well today was the day. Took a scoop to Autobarn and worked my way along till I found a suitable color. Prepped both scoops and front fender 3 color 3 clear.. Dam its a good match. Sanded the headers back to steel and a coat of VHT clear. Will see if they hold and are easy to clean. If not will get them ceramic coated. Pinky is coming along well with just the engine painting and peg mounts polished to sort out.
An absolutely amazing transformation. :good2: :i_am_so_happy: :good2: :drinks:

So a little progress photos of the Pinky from pickup to now
Beautiful Richard, just beautiful!
Kudos to you :good:
I agree with Pat, Richard, but just one thing bothers me.....
If might be an optical illusion due to the angle of the photo, but those panniers/side-cases look to be set waaaaayyy too far rearward. It looks like they'll be putting an awful lot of weight behind the rear axle, when fully loaded - and I'd be seriously worried about the effect on handling and stability, if that was the case.
But, as I say, it could just be an optical illusion.
Otherwise, what a lovely transformation, you've definitely turned a bit of a sow's ear into a silk purse :good2:
