Title: Gold Coast Weekend
Post by: Sparky84 on May 08, 2019, 05:18:48 AM
Heading to the Gold Coast for the weekend, leaving Wednesday, arrive Friday.
What's the weather like at the moment up and on the way up there?
Just trying to find out how crisp the mornings are and nights, T-shirt and jeans.
Stop overs in Gloucester, Bellingen then onto GC.

Any sights I should make a point of seeing.

Cheers
Alan

Hey Alan!. For the rest of the week and weekend its going to be pretty good, around 26 during the day and around 10-13 overnight. Bit cool but still nice. Plenty to see on the coast, and plenty in the Hinterland as well, ( Mt Tamborine, Springbrook, Hinze Dam etc, all very close to the G/Coast.  :good2:

Went past coming back from Mt Seaview. I think only the servo is open. There's a great new bakery on the north side of the Swansea bridge if anyone happens to be going that way. Good pies.

The day started well on the Putty then onto East Gresford to find a cot at Gloucester.
Then up Thunderbolts Way to Walcha and onto Armidale.

Nice Al.

The East Gresford pub has become a bit of a 'must do' for the FJ community.

Very hard to not stop at Walcha though, good choice.

What are your plans for the rest of the trip?

That was me,
Not sure which way home tomorrow but heading for Wauchope end of Oxley, so might be going back thru.
I was looking for you,
I filled up opposite Spotlight.

Went thru Beaudesert also.

After Armidale I was headed to Bellingen for the night along the Waterfall Way but at Ebor the drizzle set in to make the best bits not as nice, to top it off heading down Dorrigo Mtn was a big sign saying diesel spill caution.

That pub looks familiar.
