As I advised at our recent rally, there will be two F3A Model Airplane Precision Aerobatic competitions held in SE Queensland over the next two weekends.
The first is known as the Trans Tasman, held between Australia and New Zealand at Tin Can Bay Model Flying Club, Riflefish Rd, Tin Can Bay, S25.93671 E152.98622, 23rd to 25th Mar 2019.
The second, The Masters, will be held at Sunshine Coast Model Aero Club, Quanda Rd, Coolum, s26.51386, E153.05470, 29th to 31st Mar 2019.
If you have never seen 2 meter Precision Aerobatic Models before, you may be amazed by what you see.
The current world number three pilot will be attending the Masters competition as well as other international pilots.
It is also a great excuse for a ride on the mighty FJ, but, then again, who needs an excuse.
I will be competing in Expert category.
Hope to see some of you there. I'll be there, but no on my FJ, in my Ford Station Wagon.
Gavin
PS
I will be submitting a Rally Report shortly.
Ah, another RC enthused! Wish I could see that show, would be great. I have flown for years and love it. Just need to find the time again.
2 of my carbon fiber ones, F5B and a pylon racer. I also have a 3.5M xplorer sailplane.
I went to one of Gav's events and was impressed. Nice bunch, very much like the FJ crew.
How's did you go in the Trans Tasman Gavin?
Good luck in the Masters starting tomorrow.
Hope the weathers good.
Good luck Gav! :good2:
