HARD TO ADMIT A MISTAKE... I ABUSED THE HELL OUT OF THE 1990 FJ1200 AND LEFT IT TO ROT FOR A YEAR IN PIECES AND IN THE ELEMENTS :dash1: :dash1: :dash1: I'M A DUNCE BUT I'M WILLING TO BUCK UP TAKE THE LICK AND RIGHT THE WRONGS I'VE DONE ON THIS MACHINE... ANYWAY the bike is in ruins and its my fault (although when i purchased the bike for $400 it was just an eye sore, a running albeit very very poorly, an eyesore and an accident waiting to happen, Thank God I'm still alive to build it!) anyway yeah the bike will have to be gone through completely from top to bottom, what I'm wondering is:
1. WHERE TO START!
2. WHERE TO FIND PARTS
3. IS IT WORTH THE TIME/MONEY? all the parts i've found are quite pricey but I'm willing to work my fingers to the bone to have a cool bike not too many people own or appreciate!
Pics will be made available very soon
its cold as a Witch's Tit here in Colorado and I have a garage with a pretty decent toolset at my disposal and I am currently planning/wondering/wanting to get started on this long process of building a dream bike and a cool redemption to come!
please PM me to let me know there is someone on this forum reading my drone and whines lol but really guys let me know I'll take any feedback I can get from some experts and fellow owners and enthusiasts thanks

Where to buy parts?
eBay, RPM, and here...
Is it worth it?
It depends on your definition of worth. This project is not a good financial investment. You will not get a good return on your investment. Take the money you will sink into this project and start a Dodge&Cox stock fund account and sit back and watch the magic of compounded interest. Later in your life you will thank me.
That said...not everything in life can be measured in financial terms.
Do you, a 22 year old guy, have the focus, dedication, determination and patience to see this project thru?
Or will history repeat itself....are you going to start working on it, spray paint a couple of parts, lose interest or get pissed off and move on to the next chapter in your life?
If you do see this project thru, it can change your life. You will never doubt yourself again. You will say to yourself, look what I did (with help) When you ride this bike, you will feel pride unlike anyone who just walks into a dealer and buys a bike....YOU built this bike.
