Yea, the pictures look worse than it really is....we have a few of our roadways that cross dry washes...although not so dry the last couple of days. We still get the folks who think they can drive across, only to get washed down stream. Natural selection at its best...

All's fine in my area.

We have definitely have had some wet weather this year.In the last three weeks we have had over six inches of water in my rain gauge and sixteen feet of snow in the mountains.its gone from snow to rain to snow again several times back to another foot of snow in the valley again today. We tried to tell our new neighbor that it wasn't a good idea to build his house next to the dry creek bed,now he understands.    My sympathy's  go out to the people in Queensland Australia who were flooded out and had there ranches wiped out,a half million dead cattle.

That's a lot of water, in the desert no less.  Feast or famine, I guess.  By the way, what's with all those windmills that aren't turning?

There's nothing with them, that's the way these new wind turbines always look, at least they do here in the U.K.

I gather they need turbines to power them and make them turn, so that they can generate wind - very ecological !!
