Title: Low Snow
Post by: racerrad8 on February 04, 2019, 09:04:13 PM
We are looking at low snow tonight and early in the morning. If you look at the picture, you can see coulterville is definitely getting snow. If you look at the black line running down and out of the photo, that is the beginning of the Little Dragon.

You can see some small blue just east of Oakdale, that indicates snow is close.

Not many days is my afternoon ride home colder than the early morning ride to work. But tonight it was.

November 1971 snowed 2 inches in San Diego---that's low snow. Of course it all melted the next day. Sounds like you got what we call a "blue norther" in Texas.

. Not this time.We were supposed to get a foot on the vally floor, and ten feet in the mountains.I took both fj's down to my son Ian's garage to put new tires on and replace the instrument panel on the yellow fj and a new rear brake rotor and front tire on the black fj.I barely made it to his shop before the rain turned to snow.

I think I can count on one hand where I have looked west and see the top of the altamont hills blanketed in snow.

I tried to take a photo, but it was too far away for the cell phone to see it.
