Post by: Scottie1 on December 14, 2018, 03:31:55 PM
I am looking for a front fender with tabs complete for a 1986 if anyone has one available.

You will have better luck repairing the one you have than finding one not broken. Several members here find Plastifix the bees knees for fixing our old broken ABS.  Jump to the bottom of page 4. http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=17424.45 (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=17424.45)

I have repaired the tabs on my 86 fender after I learned to use a hot air welder. This stuff has the option to make a mold of a good part to rebuild it. Very cool.

If i had tabs left on either side then i would try that but they all are broken. I've got wire threaded through the holes at the moment holding it together. I will just have to wait until i can find one to make a copy of the tabs and repair it.

Scottie, if you get a Plasticfix kit I would bet that a member or two here would make a mold from your kit from their front fender. If the postage was not too bad from Kalifornia, I would make the mold from my 89 fender that is still original.
