I got to ride the Tail of the Dragon today. :yahoo:
Fred
Hey Fred you've never ridden the tail before?
Excellent work Fred. One to be proud of. We are expecting a full mission report in the near future. :wacko1:
Mark
Oh you lucky dawg. I read about that road so many times in Car and Driver.

A Tour of Tassie. Only 1800km and a boat ride to get there.
Good job Fred. And the trip there was a bit or a warm-up :good2:.

Tassie is great Mark but there are better roads that are much closer.

Nope, the first time was Thursday. Over 3 days I got 5 runs on the Dragon, 1 run on Cherahola Skyway and 3 runs on Moonshiner 28.

Awesome Fred. As much as you ride I figured you'd ridden the tail more times than I have.

I have not ridden much, East of the Mississippi. Except, up and down the Atlantic coast from North Carolina to Florida.
Fred
Congratulations!!!
I had until 6 month ago a cabin in Murphy NC. I could leave my driveway and head up 68 to the skyway, to deals gap (dragon tail) back down 64 to Murphy. I had all by bikes at the cabin. some of the best riding I have seen. For me, the skyway is the best part. FAST sweeping curves, no one around, especially on the week days. Spectacular views. I have not had the FJ up there yet, but every spring there is a 2 stroke meet at the resort on the gap. I will be bringing my RD and my FJ for the week.
