Well my ride with Moparman (Steve) a few weeks ago was bitter sweet. The ride was great and much needed with the long hours and 6 day work weeks. After the ride I noticed a horrible thing. My RH turn signal lens has broken off. My initial searches had no luck but I will keep checking the web sources. So I am reaching out to see if any members here will sell me one. If you have a spare and will part with it please send me a PM. Thanks.
Bummer Mark,
You have the worst luck with turn signal lenses.

I think I have one I'll give you, Monkey. Gimme a day or two to check. I just moved, so it's in storage.

Fred sent me a message about your plight. If Zoa Nom can't find one in his stash, I have a couple here. Let me know if you're still in need. Peter
Thank you all for the replies and offers. It is good to know there are still a few parts left out there. This will be the second one on this bike I lost. The first was the rare smoke tinted lens I got from Fred. I need to figure out how to make new ones if I keep loosing them.

You may want to consider getting one from Rick
and one from Pete :mocking: :pardon: :sarcastic:

Der da der... Mine is a '93 - won't fit.
Thanks for checking Rick. Mike Ramos was first to reply and is sending me the needed part.
A note to consider.... The 1991 and later lenses look very similar to the 1989/1990 lenses, but are different and will not work.
Fred
Monkey, I feel your pain. I lost the right front lens on my '90 last year and it took months to find a new one. Eventually a member that had parts bike was willing to sell me a complete assembly. I too have thought about a future replacement. Now that I have two good lenses, I've wondered about using them to make molds so I can cast my own lenses.

Make your own? Like injection molding?
No, like making a mold from an original lens and then casting a new lens. Tap Plastics sells the stuff that is needed. As a plus, it's then possible to cast the lens in any color. It's a project I better get on before I lose another lens. Now that the mounting tabs are fixed, I'll think positive thoughts about those lenses staying on there.

Mark --- I use a little silicone around the edges to help with the rattling and in this case for you in will help keep them in place. Clear silicone is hardly noticeable and easily removed when you need to replace the bulb
NOW ---- Find me a Right hand 90 Yamaha MIRROR -- damn it
