I'm in Phoenix AZ. Recently ripped my bike apart and put it back together due to an electrical issue. I must not have bolted the left side ram air intake duct on properly because it has ran away somewhere between the Home Depot and my house. Yamaha part 36Y-2837R-00-AJ. Thanks in advance.
I don't know if you need the Silver or Red colored scoop. Here is a nice White one in Germany. These parts are hard to come by. My advice is to grab this, as others might, too have as a spare.

Thanks Fred. I don't care what color it is as my fairings are beat and I'll just paint it a close match to the current red. I saw that listing. Problem is it doesn't have the duct that sends air to the top of the engine, so it doesn't seem worth it. Going to make a custom grille for both sides until I find a replacement.
Cheers,
Mike
The inner duct is used by all of the FJ's. They are compatible from 1984 through 1996.
Scroll towards the bottom of the page and you will see they are used by the 1100 and 1200 models.

I have the painted outer piece for sale. See Parts Available and/or For Sale section here on this forum.
Hey, good to see another guy from Phoenix! What part of the valley are you in?
Hey thanks a lot for everything guys. A fellow rider from Canada offered me one he has in stock for a very generous price, so I took it. I really appreciate the help... this forum has been very nice to me. I picked the right classic machine.

I know this feeling. I am missing my right side intake for exactly the same reason. I lost it on the way to the Aussie FJ rally last March, and did not realise it was gone until the end of a 200km stint.
Trying to repair a spare broken one I had in the shed.
