Well, it looks like Harley is finally realizing it needs to update a little bit. I don't know about you guys, but i kinda like the look of that 1250 adventurer....

ME: "Hey, where are the new Harley models?"
Salesman: "Back in the far corner of the building, past the sleeveless vests and ass-less chaps where we used to keep that BUELL crap. Wanna buy a T-shirt or some fingerless gloves?"
Why is the word "less" used so much to describe Harley stuff?
Sleeveless, ass-less, fingerless, less power, less reliability...?
Probably needed to balance out; MORE WEIGHT and MORE MONEY.
Hey, real steel ain't cheap ya know? Now with the +25% tariff HD's will be sold by the troy ounce....

Too little, too late for Harley Davidson.
The market is saturated with well known reliable offerings, all with an established service network.
Harley should have made this move 20 years ago while they were flush.
After screwing Erik Buell, I have no sympathy for HD.
Let them sink.
Remember tariffs on bikes over 700cc, for the benefit of HD? Harley sat on it's ass and did nothing, while the Japanese manufacturers refined their middleweight bikes to incredible levels. I was raised on and around Harleys, but they can go pound sand.

Their gamble on "emerging markets" in India will fail. Mohindra will come along and swallow them up, unless it's declared a matter of national security... :sarcastic: - and all those assless chaps and Tshirts will be made in India - if they aren't already.

And the Japanese also said,
arigato gozaimasu :hi: moved their Gold Wing, Venture, etc production to the States to overcome the tarriff. Great for American jobs, how'd that work out for HD? I think they still have the scars from shooting themselves in the foot.
,,, and that "adventure bike"... I really hope it's 100% liquid cooled or you'll be having your own prairie oysters for breakfast :bad:

Too late for Harley Davidson. Royal Enfield is already producing their 650 twin in several models. BMW already has a plant producing medium size models like the GS310R in India. The GS310 will be offered with a fairing next year for touring. Both these companies have a big head start on Harley.
